It happens to me way more than I'd like to admit. Due to lack of scouting time I end up with poor options for stand sites.

This past Saturday morning was a prime example. I'm hunting a new lease that I didn't acquire until late August.
My stand location was based on the only white oaks I've found thus far. They had acorns underneath but they were few and far between and there was no deer crap evident. The next problem was the wind. I had to make a wide circle to get the wind in my face.
With no bright eye trail and a clinber on my back, it was after 7 before I was settled. Squirrels were the only entertainment.

I know I need to spend way more time scouting than sitting but it's difficult with work and family responsibilities.
Whining over.

Good luck with your new lease xatxay. It will take you a while to get it all squared away. Believe it or not "it is still a crap shoot". You are here and think I should be over there (ha. The more stand locations you have only plays with your mine more. I say that everytime I go out, way to many stands.

Although it's a good problem to have, I agree that having many stand choices certainly plays with your head. You constantly second-guess your stand choice.

It's never a wasted morning if you get the opportunity to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Some people don't get this opportunity. Enjoy every moment. Everytime you go out, it is a learning experience and a blessing! :)

One benefit would be that I tend to enjoy stalking. Start with one and stalk to another and so on. Just sitting for hours can be frustrating/nonproductive.
