Running late today. Was little after 3 by the time i got settled in the tree. Sitting in a spot on this place i have not hunted before. Pretty uneventful not even a squirrel, Then movement to my left on the hill, saw brown but could not see antlers. He moved to the right & saw it was a buck. He moved slowly down the hill in my direction then straight on to me, about 30 yards out he turns right & moves thru an opening at 13 yards. I take the shot he runs about 40 yards & beds down behind a large tree.I can see him moving but he cant get up( single lung). A doe runs by & he tries to get up i am not going to let him suffer i take a second shot & he goes quickly. Hunted this place for 4 years now & this is by far the biggest buck i have seen there (not saying much i know) but its meat in the freezer for my son!
