check and see if you unloaded and cleaned your muzzle loader,,I was doin some inventory and found mine still loaded,,it fired first cap,,but man it took me an hour to clean,,

but heck I been tryin to ruin it for 3-4 years so I could get the Savage smokeless,,

I got the Savage smokeless last fall. Awesome! Next time, shoot your old one before you put it away, that'll hasten your need for a new one!

I posted on the general forum a while back about my wife's muzzle loader that I had forgotten was still loaded. We have a new rule that the load will be shot out or pulled after the hunt....no exceptions.
