I don't have a lot of faith in them moving much in today's heat but maybe early on with a little rain one will slip up. I have 2 places I want to hunt but throw the west wind into the prevalent southern wind and they just won't work. Headed to another spot I've seen a few deer where it will. Go get em fellas.

I have family obligations today and just as well with the weather so crappy for hunting. I don't get any movement on these type days on my cell cameras, but you go gettem boys. :bash: Somebody will kill a biggun today.

Big bucks were cruising hard today for me and my 12 yo son. Had a 4.5yo sporting a massive 6pt frame come to 175 yds this am, but he stepped into the woods just as Ethan flipped off the safety.

This eve, we had a good buck come out behind a doe 15 min before legal shooting time ended. He was either a 3.5yo 115in er or a 4.5yo 125in er... too dark for me to tell. Ethan had trouble finding him in the scope, but after a bit he said he was on him... I told him to shoot as the buck was about to cross off the property, but he said the deer wasn't broadside yet. I told him the deer WAS broadside and to go ahead and shoot. He still refused and the buck left. I told him to put the safety back on and he said the buck is about to turn broadside. Sure enough, there was a little buck he was focused on another 30 yds behind the big buck and I didn't see it. I broke the news to him and he didn't want to kill the little one. Oh well, was still a great day despite the 25mph winds

Killed my biggest buck on Nov 10th of 2011. It was 75 degrees and wind was blowing 25 mph out of the south. I didn't want to go but it was a Monday of my first day of vacation and I was obsessed with this particular buck. Hunted from daylight til noon and swapped stands. At 4:40 he came from directly downwind of me hot after a doe and i killed him.

Not much movement. I saw a 6 pointer and a few turkeys. Ended up hanging a camera and helping a buddy check and move his. I sweated like it was the beginning of archery season. Taking off a couple of days and then back at it.

I've had great luck on warm weather late season deer down in the creek bottoms
