Walmart Bow

I don't have a problem with it. Barnett makes em, they have a decent name in crossbows. I know there is one that is adjustable up to 60# pull and 30 inch draw. If you aren't certain that you're gonna like it, $200 is a lot easier to spend for a RTS package. That said, Diamond, Mission, Bear, Parker and a few other folks make a nice RTS package for somewhere in the $300 range and you get a name brand setup.

we have had tons of these Barnett bows come in the shop blown up or derailed . One of them we put back together and a guy working at the shop had it blow up on him trying to shoot it .

I would seriously steer clear of the Barnett plastic compounds , in my opinion they are more dangerous for the shooter than what you are shooting at .

Lots of guys on here recommend archery talk's classifieds. You'd probably still be in the $300 range or more, you might find one in your range on here, and don't dismiss craigslist. I have found several really good deals on there.

If you just looking for something for a kid to play around with in the yard shooting bugs and stuff then those cheap ones are ok for that. But in all honesty they are just a steep up from the fiberglass ones that shoot the suction cup arrows. Better off getting one from bear, diamond, etc. All really depends on who you buying it for. Example, bought my 6 year old a diamond infinite edge last year, good bow but to long and heavy for him so sold it and got him a bear apprentice 3 and he shoots it by himself. So look around and there are several good options out there in bows that grow with ya but don't get one for a beginner that has to grow into it first.

Do not do it! That was my first thought before I saw Barnett makes them. After I see that I say run fast. REALLY FAST!!! Look on archery talk for a PSE Stinger or a PSE Brute around a 2008-2010 model and you should be able to find something for around $125-200 for a package deal.

Archery Talk is awesome. Just bought a slightly used 2014 PSE Source for well less than half price...and that's shipped!!

I've wacked a lot of deer with a walmart golden eagle back in the day, but I'm not so sure the cheap bows today are made like the cheap ones back then. You would of found a better deal easier if you wouldn't of stared looking this close to opener. And the $200 hoty is a great deal in the classifieds IMO.

I have a 2007 pse brute 28.5 inch draw 60-70 lb limbs I'll sell it to you for $100 right now it is the bare bow but I have a whisker biscuit and the original sight I can throw in for $150 if your interested
