Met a guy who moved here from Wisconsin, was asking me about fishing Old Hickory.I told him about the large mouth, rock fish, catfish and even sauger. He said "you havent mentioned Walleyes".Ive never heard of that on Old Hickory, but I do know some kind of Walleye record came from there a long time ago.Any body fisk OH for them?If so where and how?I told him maybe Center Hill or Dale Hollow.

They run up the river out of Dale Hollow here to spawn around February every year. Theres usually so many gill nets strung across the river that it makes it difficult to actually catch them legally.

you had better look at the douglas regulations...they changed in march of last year...

Walleye size limit didn't change on Douglas. Only sauger. Still 15" minimum on walleye. Creel limit was dropped from 10 to 5 though.

I caught this on Old Hickory in the late 90's. No luck last few years...there are better places (Blue Hole and Rock Island upper end of Center Hill) to try for Walleyes. Saugers are just as good, just not as big.
