Pictures sort of suck. It's hard to take a pic thru a scope. Distortion to the sides is due to me. I tried to take pics at diff. apperatures and iso. to show the best I could.

Scope is better than my Mark4s and VX-3s. Had it out at 6:25 pm est. No problem to 400 at 12x. Got really clear at 8x at dark. My eyes and the exit pupil thing...

Is it worth the money over a VX-3? Don't know. Is it in the same class as a MK4? Definitely.

Firedot will be the stuff in the woods at dark.

My daughter's gun. A-bolt .243. Talley lightweight LOW, McMillian hunter. 50% orange, 40% white, 10% light blue.

She's a Lady Vol soccer fan...

I just ordered a VX6 today as well, the 1-6x multigun with Firedot SPR reticle. They're impressive scopes for sure. Your daughter has a nice setup!

would you be so kind to snap a pic of the turrets with the covers off,,

I am glad to see this,Leupold had let some other scopes catch up and even pass them up,it looks like they finally did something to take some market back,,

Crap pics. Bad light. Bad photographer...

Top dial will have CDS with zero stop. Should get her to 700+, but she shoots only to 200 now. She's 9.

Room to grow...

Thanks guys. She didn't like the VX-III 4.5x14x40 LR B&C reticle that was on it. It confused her.

I think she'll like this.

Wes-

Let me get it sighted in. Come get it and see if you like. This will be my first VX-6, second will be next month...

Love the scope. Installed a standard MOA cds turret and finished up load testing in February. I can't say much about dusk-daylight as all I've done there was mentioned above. The scope tracks perfectly out to 400 yards and back. That's as far as I've gone.

One issue I had: The original cds that came with the VX6 felt "mushy" when dialed. Called Leupold and the tech had the same issue with his. He also put the standard moa dial on his and he said it made a world of difference. He was right. Clicks are firm now.

What I mean by original is the one that comes from the factory. Leupold sends you a coupon for a free cds dial. That one I ordered in moa (in lieu of providing data for a specific load/caliber).

I'm extremely pleased with the scope. I had plans to buy another back in March, but it seems that I have been hemorrhaging money since. I'll buy another when it quits.

very very nice,,will that knob also work on the windage adjustments,,

and that scope your daughter didnt like has been a workhorse on my CZ 527V in 223,with the 69SMK and 25 grs Varget it will adjust up past 1,000 yards on a 25 MOA taper rail and has been up and down from 100 to 650-700 countless times and nearly two years and 2,000 rounds I have not had to reset my 100 yard zero one time,,

I would really love that VX6 in 3-18 with those knobs on the 338..

Eric-

The scope with the Boone&Crockett reticle was just too "busy" for her. She would get confused with the lines. This one is just "simpler" to her. She loves the lighted dot.

I would think a windage knob on the VX6 would work just the same as the elevation. I know swapping the knobs out was a breeze. Maybe two minutes.

And I'm extremely pleased to hear you say that! :)

Thanks for sharing all your experiences and thoughts.
Particularly with the slightly larger objective than the VX-3 (comparing the 40mm VX-3 to the 42mm VX-6), I can't imagine the VX-6 not being even better in low light than the VX-3, which I've long considered a basic "standard" of excellence for which to compare all others.
