ever thought about trying to get one together again???? id be in if i was off work!!!!! i haven't been on here much in the last few years.... kind of got out of hunting after dad passed in 05.... but killed my first deer this year in over 10 years..... got the ole blood pumping again!!!!! i know they use to have the Vous, floats on the river, golf get togethers, and etc...i think they even use to have a opening day bow hunt at LBL..... i would love to get back into the hunting game again and find a great friend to hunt with ….. only problem is i don't think a lot of guys are from the north eastern part of the state in here!!!!

I'd be in favor of doing something like that. We've had a tndeer duck hunt the last 2 years. Had 6 last year and 10 this year. Had a fishing trip back on May with 6 of us. I'm always up to get together whether it's just a few or 200 of us.

Ok.....I hadn't been a member long enough to know the meaning or history of 'Vous'.....I understand a get-together or gathering....just curious how or why 'Vous' is used in relation to a tndeer event? Gotta be a story?

The Vous was short for Rendezvous I believe. I never made one sadly. I planned to a couple of times, but life, and such got in the way. They used to have classes, presentations, stuff for kids, prizes, and some members that sold hunting related products, may show up and have specials just for the Vous. They would try to alternate it throughout the state, to make it fair, so people didn't have to travel to far year after year.

Rendezvous....ok....makes sense.....thanks! Sounds like a good time.... maybe it will happen again someday..... appreciate the explanation.
