I know some of you guys like Vortex products. Cabela's has the vortex Viper HD 10 x 42 binoculars on sale for $299.

I paid $75 more than that a couple years ago. Appears to be same quality as Zeiss Conquest.

Worth mentioning is the original Vipers were Made in Japan (MIJ), but these newer models are Made in China (MIC). I have a pair of MIJ 10x42s that I hunt with religiously, but have always been leery since they moved production to China few years back. My .02
