Anyone have or know much about the Vortex Diamondback? I'm looking at picking up a couple for muzzle loaders and thought I would see if anyone on here has any experience with them. I'm open to other scopes as well as long as we keep it under $250 or so and its at least a 3-9x40.

I have a Burris FFII 3-9x40 and an E1 4.5-14x42 on rifles now and have owned 1/2 a dozen more and they have all been fine scopes. They have taken a pretty good price hike in the last 6 months or so even on Ebay. I'm just getting the itch to try something new anyway.

I've got a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40. It has a wide field of view and the glass is bright. I used it on a Browning BAR 30-06 until I upgraded to a Sightron SII Big Sky 3,5-10x42. Now the Diamondback is on a .22 semiauto. I've got several Vortex and Sightron scopes and they are all good scopes.

I went ahead and ordered the Diamondbacks in a 3-9x40 and a 4-12x40. I will be able to do my own comparison test of scopes when I get them. I now have a Burris 3-9x40 and an E1 4.5-14x42, Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 and 4-12x40, Nikon Pro staff 3-9x40 and the 2 Vortex Diamondbacks.
