I don't know but whatever you buy I'd compare it with a Redfield Revolution before you pull the trigger. I did some research and bought one in 2-7x33 for my Marlin last year. Made by Leupold and supposedly same quality as the old VX 2's. Noticeably better than a friend's Nikon Prostaff and probably just about as clear as my Nikon Monarch that's on my son's TC MZL.

I've got two of these right now but will have more. I bought the first one for my 25-06 and was so impressed I sold my Zeiss Conquest HD, bought another Diamondback HP and pocketed the other $500. They are not quite as good as the Zeiss but for 1/3rd of the price, I cannot tell enough difference t make it worth it.

Very interesting. I like to hear about actual head-to-head comparisons such as this. Now I'm intrigued with this Diamondback HP scope.

I love my diamondbacks and Vipers. I put a crossfire on the muzzleloader as well. The muzzleloader isn't happy with the loads so far but the scope is crystal clear.


You will never buy anything else after you get one.
 
Got my 3-12x42 Vortex Diamondback HP in today. Went ahead and mounted it on a model 7 Remington in 7mm-08. I am impressed so far for $199 vs the other several higher priced scopes I have. May get a chance to sight it in this weekend.

Thanks to your alert, mine next Diamondback HP will be here tomorrow. I would pay $500 for this quality of scope and we got them for $199. What a steal!
