Volunteer Rifle match

Oak Ridge Long Range ML match will occur on March 29-30.
200, 300 & 600 yards for Volunteer Rifles, LR match rifles will continue to shoot at 1000.
It expands this year with the addition of Volunteer Rifles using military/barrel sights. Those with Parker Hale rifles or such may want to get them out for some fun.
Got a photo yesterday of my new addition along with one that's been hidden in the safe for 2 decades. Interesting they are both 2-band Volunteer rifles - yet the barrel length isn't the same..

That's the Thursday/Friday before Easter....right?
I love those things. Am I correct to assume those are .451s? All I have is .577 Enfields. Would a PH Whitworth be acceptable? I have my eyes on one.

Yes, Thursday - and Good Friday.
Volunteer rifles were in both .451 and .577. Of course a Whitworth is OK - the father of Long Range shooting.. I know a fellow TN who's bringing his PH 577 - he plans to sit (maybe a stool) and shoot off high x-sticks.
