Heard on Finebaum this afternoon when a caller mentioned that he heard Tennessee was wanting to leave the SEC and it may have legs.Sankey said that some teams had displeasure with the SEC.I looked into this and it said there hasn't been any official statement from UT.Take this with a grain of salt, just rumor probably!
 
This is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of. I know they are volunteers, but You only voluntarily change conferences for a better one. SEC is the best so… This sounds like a ridiculous rumor.

Well it's come to the point on knows they can't afford to keep buying player, if they get into a less competitive group they might win a few games! 😂
 
This reported rumor has nothing to do with Tennessee being afraid of competition, Tennessee and some other teams are displeased with the SEC and the NCAA! Tennessee in the past has played a tougher schedule than most SEC teams.They have won 869 games,six National Championships, thirteen SEC Championships.They are anything but afraid of competition Doughboy!

Some other teams? I haven't heard ALABAMA, Georgia , LSU or even Vandy who currently owns TN football crying about being displeased about being in the SEC. This seems to be a tn vols thing since they can't keep up competitivly in FOOTBALL and needs to move to a SOFTER conference so they can desperately get a leg up.

The last 3 seasons the SEC has been anything BUT the best . Far from it.

You really are not very up on sports, especially on college football.I didn't say they displeased about being in the SEC,I said several SEC teams were displeased with the SEC and NCAA.Greg Sankey is the one who said this, so you don't know where Alabama was one of the teams who were displeased with SEC or not.

Also add to it its been almost 30 years since the vols have been relevant in the NCAA. A softer conference would certainly not hurt things for yall.

Your bama love is obscuring your intelligence. We are not irrelevant, even though we have been down for 15+ years compared to our historical place in the top fifteen. We made the playoffs last year. Not to mention the other sports where we are doing very well - basketball, baseball, women's softball, soccer, normally women's basketball, etc.

15 years in Football? That Backdoor into a watered down playoffs is hysterical at best. Almost like celebrating a win over ALABAMA like it was a National Championship?????. But I guess when you don't have much to cling on you have to pick your battles right?

Well, when you only good in one sport, I understand why you are so sensitive. And you really aren't dominant in that one any more either. But, you can always live on those glory days of the past. Carry on.
