I saw this on FB and posted that VOL nation entered the transfer portal after that mess.... Sad for sure. I felt like other than the first quarter they were outplayed by GA St. Sure they had fumble that resulted in a GA St. TD, but rebounded and had 2 nice drives, resulting in TDs. Then, everything went down hill fast.
 
What IF the Vols lose to BYU, does TN fire him and have Chaney interim HC? Or wait it out till season is over?

he won't be fired during the season for sure and rightfully so. No matter how bad that loss was, we don't need another coaching search. I still say give him a couple more years believe it or not. With that being said, he better pull out 5-6 games this season, some how, some way.

I'm not taking up for Pruitt as I'm not sure he is capable of the task.

JPs press conference today wasn't much to get excited over. He plans to have the defense "keep it simple" again this week vs BYU and kept talking about inexperienced players.

I do think we see a much better team week 2.

He has to almost completely flip this roster of linemen, on both sides of the ball. If they didn't have SEC quality lineman last year, there not going to have it with 1 full recruiting period.

Qb as well. Anyone that thinks he is average at best (or better) is kidding themselves. I bit my tongue over the summer after bashing him for two years thinking maybe I'm wrong about the kid. First game of the season brought all his flaws back to the forefront.
Sure he has "ok" stats over his career if you want to look at it that way.

Forget the stats, give me someone that will take risks downfield. Give me a vocal leader, give me someone that can live up to being duel threat, give me someone that doesn't slide a yard short of a first down when they could easily pick up 3-5 more yards. Give me someone that can WIN games even if it means throwing some interceptions. Give me someone that can pump fake (never seen this out of JG). Give me someone that can see, understand and read a defense. GIVE ME ANYONE OTHER THAN JG at this point. Thank god bailey is coming but let one of the freshman get reps now so that JG feels the pressure and knows that his position isn't safe. Now I'm pissed at Pruitt after saying all that LOL

Maybe they need to use JG more of a running qb to take pressure off of the Oline

What they need to do is put the best 5 out there and leave it alone. They played 9 different linemen in 7 different combinations. At on time, true fresh. Wanya Morris played rg and rt on the same series.

It was just a bad beat... Maybe the worst in school history by a weaker opponent at home. Will be interesting to see if UT is that bad or was not ready.... Time will tell... :tu:
