I have the PST. The glass is great and the Vortex CS is supposed to be top notch. The only con is that it might be a little heavy.

I only own zeiss scopes but I just got a new vortex viper for my new muzzleloader and have compared it side by side against a couple of my zeiss conquest's. It is not as bright as a conquest but the difference is minimal considering the $500 price difference. It seems to be well built but I haven't used or owned a vortex long enough to
say it will hold up like a zeiss. I think you'll be very happy with it!

I have a 4-16x50 HST on a 700 in 270 WSM. Tracks well, but I would prefer 1/4" elevation adjustments rather than 1/2". Other than that, no complaints.

I have the Viper HS in the same configuration. (I didn't need the exposed turrets.)
Except for the power ring being tight, I have had no issues at all mounted on a 300WM.
