My first hunt of the season and although i only seen one lone fawn i was tickled to death to hit the woods. This is my smallest food plot i planted. I planted soybeans back in June and the deer tore them up. While i was planting bigger plots 2 weeks ago i disced this one back up and replanted. The beans are about 2" tall and the deer are wearing them out. Behind me is a large gravel pit that is a great bedding area for them. Supposed to be 97 this evening but i believe i'll still give it a shot.

Although I've killed a turkey 15 yards from this tree, I've never deer hunted here. I had to get closer to water. It's dryer than a popcorn fart out here.

 
I'm about 30 feet up in a permanent stand with the wind in my face overlooking a 5-acre bean plot. There was a 10 in velvet in here yesterday evening. He may be too young but I'd sure like a closer look.

Not much wind moving in the ole ground blind. I'm looking over a small bean plot where I shot my buck last year. The deer and weeds have put a hurtin on this plot.
