Video Unit Idea

I was talking to a guy today who said they sell video surveillance cameras that are triggered like a trail cam (I guess by heat or movement). They also offer the accompanying service which will email you footage immediately. He said the monthly charge for the service is much less that the charges the trail cams are charging, and the cameras are less expensive, too.

Anybody ever tried this?

The biggest problem with these video surveillence units is video quality. Generally it is nowhere near as clear as the trail-cam units.

And most of them run off AC power.
