Diced up some venison backstrap into bite-sized chunks & browned em with some onion chunks & a few spices. Boiled some egg noodles. 1 can of cream of mushroom soup & 8 oz. of sour cream to make gravy. 09 California mixed red wine. Another great meal using venison!

Venison stroganoff is a recipe fit for a king or any 5-star restaurant. We make ours with a little wine added and cook for a few hours so the meat is very tender. I also use sour cream in the mix at the end. We put 1/4 tsp. of crushed red pepper in it to give it a small kick.

Glad I seen this, I put 4 deer in the freezer and I have too much ground also. My wife is cooking this tonight along with 2 different recipes for meatloaf and some chilli. Dang guess I feel like a king with all this food. Ha.

We've been eating venison stroganoff for years now. We brown cubed meat in a small amount of oil sprinkling with black pepper and Cracker Girl seasoning (or seasoned salt). Pace in a 13x9x2 pan and sprinkle with onion soup mix. Add enough water to cover meat. Place in oven (350 degrees) for 1 hour. Add water during cooking if needed. Serve over noodles. Top with sour cream.

We also make green chili venison stroganoff. If anyone wants the recipe just ask.
