ODJ in Cookeville had some one pound cans on the shelf today for 27$ a can,,there was 7 cans there when I left,,first I had seen in a while,,

Reloaders bench in mt Juliet had some today. 2 weeks ago at oj they had tons of varget and several 8lb jugs. It was mostly gone in 3 days.

Cross Touched Pawn Shop in Shelbyville has some as well. They are also getting .22 ammo every Wednesday. I picked up some CCI mini mags and a pound of H4350 Wednesday.

I have read on here for years about ya'll using Varget. Why do you like it so much and is there a real difference from one powder to the next? I got some for my 7mm08 and plan on starting to load soon as a first timer.

I like it because it isn't temp sensitive and I get better velocities in 308 than the other powders I've tried

I use it in 223 with 69 gr bullets ,308 with 175 gr bullets,,I can get higher velocity in both with a number of different powders,,but day in and day out these loads will hit where you aim them,

Varget works in a lot of cartridges, and works better than most in some. Varget really shines as .308 powder. I like RL 15 as well.
