I wish I could claim that was the only shot CV, but truth is, he turned away just as I was hoping be would pass thru an opening and I had to try to get on him as he was quartering away hard. Ended up spine shooting him and had to put another one in him to finish him off. I hate that, but it happens I guess. Sure don't want an animal to suffer, especially at my hand.

I call BS, Steve! Having that deer in the back of a little Nissan makes it look bigger. I'll bet it didn't dress over 100 lbs :lol: :rotf: :poke:
 
Thanks a bunch everybody! This buck was taken with my old CVA Kodiak Mag, and back to using my trusted load of 90 gr pyrodex and a 260 lead conical and black sabot.
 
Thanks guys! Good thing I was able to get this one early too, been down with the crud for a week now and have now missed my first Thanksgiving day hunt in I can't recall how many years!
