UV killer?

Anyone want to chime in on this? Im curious if a deer can see uv brightened clothing as good as some think. FDoes the uv killer spray work? is it a waste? Several reviews state that it works until it dries, but then it shows bright again under a blacklight. other reviews swear by it.

ive never used the spray but some laundry detergent blocks the uv. I don't know if they can or not would love to know what bsk says about this.

I don't know if it works or not,but I wash my clothes with hunting detergent that does not contain any uv brighteners.My crazy uncle washes his in regular Tide.When we hunt together I can see him from around 150 yards or so walking across a field right at dark.He literally glows.When we stand side by side it is a world of difference.I've wondered too if a deer can see this as well.

You can definitely tell the difference in items washed in detergent with UV brighteners and items washed with UV free/UV killers. Use a UV light, or black light to see the difference. Pretty amazing.

Absolutely true. In addition, deer can absolutely see into the UV range. Now the real question is, do they care?

When I started using the UV Killer, I definitely noticed more deer that would approach close and look right through me obviously not seeing me. I wouldn't hunt without treating my clothes with it. After treatment to keep any UV brighteners from getting on my hunting clothes when I wash them, I always run a load of regular(non-hunting) clothes through the washer with "hunting" soap before washing my hunting clothes just to be sure the regular soap is rinsed from the washing machine. I think it is worthwhile myself.

Absolutely true. In addition, deer can absolutely see into the UV range. Now the real question is, do they care?

I have heard that rotting logs and such put of UV light, not sure if true.
I like to use UV free detergents and dry mine outside. I think the dryer fades them more than anything.
