Interesting stats that I wanted to share.
Of the 76 players on the UT travel roster as of game 1;
76 players
22 true freshmen
34 who had never taken a snap at UT
56 with 1 year or less at UT
only 13 players who had played at UT in 2013
Still one of the top 3 or 5 youngest teams in all of FBS football.
I said it before the season started in 2014, and I'll say it again.
2014- they play a boatload of freshmen, and take some lumps, but end up better for it.
2015- field a much improved team, but still take a few lumps due to playing another boatload of freshmen.
2016- deal out many more lumps than they take, due to the experience level gained in 2014 & 2015. Strong contenders to win the East, and field a strong challenge for the SEC title. Should be an extremely interesting November. :)
2017- the sky is the limit. Yeah, Dobbs will be gone, but they've got a huge amount of Jr's and Sr's from 2014 and 2015's recruiting classes coming on strong.
Stats don't lie.
Every game they win this year, will be won by an overwhelming majority of kids with a year or less playing time at UT.
I'm not going to respond to any replies due to the level of childishness spewed by some, so have at it. :stir: :poke: :pop:
