Using compressor to remove maxi ball?

So I got one in the barrel and the powder won't fire. Tried to add a little xtra powder but no go. Bullet puller has not worked. Going to try and use the compressor to get it out. Never done it before and wanted to know the drill. I already soaked to barrel to inert the powder. Can I do this by myself or do I need someone else and any special attachments on the compressor?

Depends on what kind of gun. I use it on my sidelock shotgun all the time. The blower attachment fits right in the nipple.

The bullet puller affixed to the proper range rod should do the trick with a maxie ball. I've found that compressed air with a less than air tight projectile like the maxie is sometimes a little more difficult to remove. Seems the air will escape around the maxie preventing its expulsion. I had this happen with minie ball in a civil war style musket. The compressor might be worth a try, though.

I got a bullet puller but I've had a hard time getting it to stick into the round. It keeps pulling out every time I get it sticking in there. I'll give it another shot morning.

I'd be careful! Compressor air is dangerous in small spaces. I've seen hyd. Cylinders that the packing wouldn't clear the end be shot out with compressed air. Moves like a missile!!

Seriously be careful If air leaking bad you can try and put a patch or 2 on top of the ball
