49 degrees here this morning. Got in the woods before daylight squirrels went to stirring seem like everywhere I looked limbs was shaking hickory nuts falling squirrels chasing one another. Been a squirrel hunter over 60 years and this was one of those memorable mornings.

Congratulations Ricky! Wednesday was a fabulous morning to be in the woods. I explored a new block of woods and walked 3.5 miles before I saw the first squirrel in a white oak at 9AM. There were three cutting the fire out of that whiteoak (green acorns). I just stood there and watched as I had to be on the road back home around 10. I saw two more in a hickory when I was back near the truck. Never fired a shot but did enjoy the time in the woods. Thanks for sharing.
