Unusual Thursday Rifle fun

I had my main steel manufacturer in town yesterday and he wanted to take a group of guys down to Outpost Armory and do the 50 BMG experience. I'll admit that I was nervous at first, but after that first shot, WHOA!!!!, it was on. It was an awesome time with a large weapon and I highly recommend doing it at least once in your life.

I believe it's right at 46lbs the way it's equipped.

Would you mind sharing how much it was to shoot? Was it per round or like a 5 round package deal?

They offer a 10 round deal that's $159 according to their website, however we did a block of rounds (I think 50) and we each took turns with 5 each and then divided up the remaining rounds.

Yeah, they aren't cheap to shoot but they sure are fun.

Once upon a time i saw a 6 barrel 50 minigun on a huey at Bien Hoa Air base. Had a Marine guarding it. Barrel was 8 feel long, maybe longer. Being interested I got almost under a blade before the Marine said something. I said to him that's a 50. He replied back GTF outta here. I told him as I backed up "does your Momma know how ugly you are"?

He cracked a 1/16th smile. Freaking Marines.
