unusual hunt

Took a buddy of mines son yesterday morning to a goat farm I can hunt. On the fourth calling session we had 2 come out at about 110 yards and as he got steady on the back one the owners mule walked out and stood behind the yote and just looked at it, so I told him to wait but the yote set down and the mule just stood there, finally the yote turned and ran back into the thicket and then the mule turned and trotted off. At least the boy had fun though.

Jacks and mules are good coyote repellants.... Jacks are better though.

Around here the old timers keep jacks/mules with their cows, because they say they will keep the yotes ran off when little ones are being born.

Well the owner got a retarded one then because this place is absolutely tore up with yotes, she has the mule, 2 great Pyrenees, and a llama and none of them help at all, that's why she lets me hunt, but the dang animals keep saving the yotes

Not sure I'm a good influence on anybody, sure know I couldn't afford to replace that mule, lol
