Unit L extra week

I am just curious what exactly the extra week is at the end of the season in this area? Doe only is what I understand, but what is the point exactly? A lot of doe in my area are bred by then. Wouldn't it be a huge problem killing doe that have potentially been bred? Thank you for any feed back.

It is a few additional days to take antlerless deer if needed for management purposes. It was not extended to WMAs due to pressure concerns. It is not a concern about the does being bred.
