Just a small place I hunt in Wilson co.About 40 acres I think, its all one big food plot. There are 3 groves of 20 to 30 sawtooth trees,12 acres of corn,2 1.5 acre fields of clover.2 small ponds as well. Its a deer magnet along the river. We always spook deer going in and out,but we always see deer too.Lots of em,I saw 12 yesterday. We think its that deer just are traveing along the river.Going from crop field to crop field. And a decent buck seems to get killed there most every year.

That spot sounds amazing. Any time you can get a gem of food and cover next to a bunch of agricultural area, you'll be thick with deer - especially when the nuts/fruits are in season and they aren't hitting the fields yet.

Those sawtooth about 4-5 years old? I have about 400 and they are just starting to produce acorns this year. The late freeze we had a few years back really knocked mine back a couple of years - some back down to the ground. I still haven't decided if I like this tree or not?
