Nothing all that interesting, but I like his curly droptine. He had a matching one on the other side but broke it off. Oldest buck I've killed (6 1/2). I didn't even look at his rack before pulling the trigger. I just saw that massive neck walking towards me.

My youngest son was invited to go hunt with a coworker. He showed my son a picture of a deer and told him not to kill it. He also said he had a picture of another deer but that was all he said. Just before dark a deer walked out and my son shot knowing it wasn't the deer he had saw the picture of. He called me and told me he had shot a big deer but didn't have a light. I told him to wait until morning and look for it. The next morning the deer was bedded down about 150 yards away from where he had shot. When the deer tried to get up he shot it again and killed it.

This is the deer he was told not to kill.
The coworker didn't speak to him for awhile.
He recently called and invited him to hunt but does only.

He killed his first buck with a bow in September before the big deer in December. It scored in the 180's.

That's crazy. Was this a Tennessee deer?

Damn, he's all swolt up.

Great buck

In the early 80's there was a buck on HAAP that had antlers that looked like cedar stumps. The beams went straight up and the points were on top and stuck out 360 degrees on both sides. It was killed the first year they allowed hunting.

I heard of that deer I believe. I'd love to see it.

Best I remember there was an old man from Morristown killed it. The first year they allowed hunting was 1983. We tried to dart it in 82. It seemed like those deer knew the difference between green game wardens trucks and the green HAAP trucks. Lol

Double Drops . Not huge drops but nonetheless

this deer had a gps tracker and ear tags. I killed it off a farm I owned next to a natl wildlife refuge.
Micheal Waddel killed the deer w a tag 1 number from mine. We were neighbors there. Mine was #90. Think his was #89

I didn't know this deer existed until about 12 hours before I shot him. Hunted one morning, got done hunting and pulled cards. Went back home. Hunted behind the house that afternoon. Checked cards, and saw that he was there 10 days before. Showed up again the night before I pulled the cards. Made a last minute decision to go back the next morning and it paid off. He actually had broken a point in the 10 days from when he first showed up until I pulled the trigger.
