Food Plots Undesirable trees

Has anyone had success with Hack and Squirt this time on year to kill unwanted trees?
My limited research says it will work, but may not as well as Summer/Fall.

Absolutely. Just be done by early February and don’t pick it up again until June.

I tried it last year with undiluted 40% roundup (generic) and it worked great. I plan to do it again as soon as deer season is over this year.
