I have thought about posting this for a while but after the a-rig frogs I got to.

Back probably 10 years ago or more I was messing around after getting an idea while watching a tv show on Sunday morning.
I don't know what the rig is called but they use it to catch bait in the ocean.

Little curly tail jigs all on the same rig that stick out to the side of the main line.
Probably 20 of them on one line.

Anyway after seeing that I got an idea.
I took a three-way swivel thingy and tied two different lengths of line to them and tied a fluke on each end of those two lines.

It "worked" but never really produced and I got bored with it so I didn't try it again.

Sure didn't have a CLUE as to the revolution I was so close to, yet so far away.

The Heron or Sabiki rig is a great way to catch bait under a light at night! Its funny Ruger, the Umbrella rig has been around and used succesfully on stripers for 20+ yrs, amazing it took this long for it to be converted to the bass fishing world! You had your chance!!!

Ruger,

Isn't what you tried called the donkey rig? Read about it online a few weeks ago. Actually tried it, no luck with it.
