Last year, my corn and tomatoes were devastated by squirrels. This year, something (I think crows) were pulling up my corn plants when less than six inches high. On the advice of a friend, I bought this cool gadget that seems to scare off everything.

If you have a huge garden like a farm, it wouldn't be enough. It only works as far as the sprinkler can spray. But so far, it's been fantastic.

It's called the Scarecrow Motion Activated Sprinkler by Contech.

I find a .22 with rat shot works great. Just ask the three ground hogs

Yeah, I killed and/or trapped 17 squirrels last year, and there's always more to annihilate the tomatoes. You can't be there 24/7 to watch.

That's crazy, I have more woods around me than you, yet I kill only a few each year and the living ones are smart enough to keep a distance most of the time. When one does sneak into the yard, it's tough to sneak a window or door open and get a shot, because they know the sound. They're smarter here I guess.

I just had someone at work tell me about this...and yep we got a whooping 4 tomatoes picked lol, after missing them, picking these 4 when they were green and putting them in the window. I noticed Wednesday we are missing tomatoes and then the 4 left were gone Thursday, there were tomatoe plant stems that were completely broken. Whatever animals are not eating my jalepenoes or bell peppers tho
