I'll say this 1st off, Lesnar is Pretty much Unstoppable but I just dont like to watch him fight dont impress me if you will 4-1-0 and holds the belt???? Anyways just a little vent to upset some ppl you know who you are lol, he is the best and to be the best you have to beat the best, GO CARWIN GO get what you have worked for....and for the record Yes Frank Mir and Chuck Liddell need to Retire lol!

First time I saw Carwin fight I said he is the guy that could beat Brock Lesnar! I think he is a better fighter. The only way Carwin loses is if Lesnar can just plain over power him. I think the kind of fighter Carwin is he will train to be the smatter fighter and I think he will win this fight! It is real hard not to pull for a real working mans fighter!!!
 
Part of that life includes a full-time job as an engineer, and Carwin said that escape from the fight game has proven to far more beneficial than distracting.

"It's a place I get to go into at work, and I get to not think about fighting for a while and actually get to use my brain," Carwin said. "I went to college to retire in engineering. This whole fighting thing wasn't something that when I watched the first UFC, it wasn't like I was like, 'Wow, I want to do that.' It was more like, 'Wow, those guys are [expletive] crazy.'

"Now I guess I'm just part crazy, too."

My thoughts on Lesnar is he is a BAD man! If he had started in MMA instead of the fake wrestling he would be a GREAT MMA fighter (not trying to say he is not now)! My thought is he is still new to the sport and Carwin has been fighting MMA for a long time. I like Brock and till I saw Carwin fight thought Brock would not be beat for a long time! I think with Brock being out of fighting for almost a year because of his illness gives Carwin a better chance to beat him than if Brock had a few more fights in the same time span. I don't like the Brock Lesnar that still thinks he is the WWE sometimes.

I like Brock when he acts tike a real fighter and dose not try to be a Bad A@#! On the other had I really like Carwin the more I see of him and the more I se how humble about fighting and then goes right back the a 5 or 6 day a week job when the fight is over.

I guess I and most people have more respect for Carwin than Brock. If Brock wins it will not be a shock to anybody but if Carwin wins it sure would not shock me one bit!
 
Those are my thoughts I mean he is not a favorite but he is bad I give my cousin a hard time about it just because I am a Mir fan and he rubbs it in but I'll admit Mir is done IMO Lesnar is Bad though I just can't see how ppl call his technique MMA I mean Brocks only ground game is lay on em and pound I call it lay and pound...well that sound unapporpriate but something along those lines but what can I say if I was 285 and the champ I would do the same I guess and his power is phenominal though!
 
Brock is a bad motor scooter but if i wanted to watch wrestlin i would watch WWE. Brock kind of dumbs down UFC I hope Carwin thumps his head big time.
 
Carwin has WAY better boxing, and has close to the same level of wreslting as Lesnar.

I think if Lesnar gets him down, he will stay down. Brock hasn't been hit much, so his chin may not be able to take a good shot.

I say it will end in the first round.

So Spit according to this statement I take it you are not a Matt Hughes fan? Lesnar is a bad man no doubt. Don't forget he is an Div I All American and National Champion. Yeah it was a long time ago but wrestling is like riding a bike. It will all come back to you over time. I am pulling for Carwin. If he can land one good solid punch to Brock's lunch box head he is going down. I don't think he has ever been hit. Now Carwin's chin can also be put into question. Look at the Gonzaga fight when he got tagged and buckled. He came back and one by KO but Gonzaga is not known for huge punching power. Only time will tell. I just hope Lesnar is laying face down or up doesn't matter but knocked out cold.

Shane Carwin gained success both as an athlete, and a student. Shane went to Western State where he was a 3x NCAA Division 2 National Finalist, and a National Champion wrestler. He was also a 2x All-American in Football, the 1996 RMAC Football Player of the year, was invited to participate in the 1998 Senior Bowl as a linebacker, and also participated in the Indianapolis Combine. Shane was also a 3x Academic All-American. After graduating from Western State, he completed his 2nd degree at Colorado School of Mines where he was an assistant wrestling coach for 2 years.


That is with out wrestling his senior year at all so he could focus on Football and school. He is just as good a Brock in wrestling background!
 
Dodge Man I was never questioning Carwin's wrestling credentials. I know his background and that he was a Div II all american in both football and wrestling. I think that the wrestling is not going to be a factor. I think Lesnar is going to charge at him right from the get go and try to bring him down, kind of like he did Heath Herring. If Carwin stuffs the first take down its going to be who is the last man standiing. I think the wrestling is going to cancel out. I just hope that when/if the two collide and push into the fence that the cage holds up.
 
I think Carwin will expect Brock to do just that so I think Carwin will train to stop the charge or will take the fight to Brock before Brock can charge him. I think if Carwin would charge Brock and get Brock off of his game plan it would really mess Brock up!
 
Yeah no doubt. I just hope its a good fight. I would like to see them slug it out and then Carwin just KO him. Still kinda disappointed Silva is out. Never a dull fight when he fights. Chris Leban showed some class by stepping up on about 15 days rest to fight.
 
All of Brocks wins have come in the 2nd round or latter! I am willing to bet if Carwin can take the fight to Brock and not let Brock fight like he wants to that shane can beat him early! I would be real surprised if they stand in the middle and swing away but man what a 30 sec fight that would be! :D
 
Carwin is a bad mama jomma.


The wrestling will cancel out, unless Brock gets rocked and Carwin gets on top. As a wrestler, you don't like being on your back.. so unless Brock is ready for it. I think he will panic if Carwin rocks him and gets in a dominant position.
