Do the hunts start at safe shooting light or noon ?

Depends. Look at the web page www.tnwildlife.org and see what is listed.

Otherwise look in the hunting guide.

Some start at 30-minutes before sunrise and some at noon. They all close at sunset.

Does this mean 12 til sunset just on Sep 1 or on all dates ???



Hunt Dates: September 1 (noon - sunset), September 2, 6, 7, 13, and 14.

Directions: From Fayetteville, take Hwy. 431 north and turn left on Fishing Ford Road; go 1.5 miles and turn left on Williams Road. Follow the signs to the field.

I know normally you can hunt anytime, sunrise to sunset except for opening day, I just wasnt sure about the TWRA fields. Seems like everyone I talk to said they were going around noon and I couldn't understand why, then I got to wondering.... I texted my buddy thats a game warden and he said sun up on the the TWRA fields so thats all i needed to hear...
