Sounds like they know what's about to happen. Tennessee should never have hired that goofy looking coach from Southern Miss in the first place. The selection committee needs to be tarred and feathered for not investigating him more.

The vols put themselves in the position to be coachless when the powers that be, read boosters, cut the legs off of Martin. Rest assured Martin is laughing his arse off in Berkeley. I can't even believe there are still people pining for Pearl after what he did to the vol program.

I'm not pining for him and in fact said no way they could bring him back no matter how bad I'd really like it because you have to have a set of morals and stick to them. My point is if you're going to hire somebody with baggage it might as well have been Pearl.

I don't think anyone knew what had been going on at Southern Miss until recently when the ex-assistant let the cat out of the bag. I can't blame anyone for the hire, but I'm not a vol fan either. Truth be known, I think there is a case to be made for some bad juju returning to the vols for their poor treatment of Martin. It's one of those "be careful what you ask for" type things.

I'd rather watch paint dry than a Martin-coached team make the Sweet 16. He couldn't motivate his players until his back was against the wall.
