Wonder how it would do with say a 185 or 200 grain xtp with a sabot or even a gold dot

Best advice is to try them out and see. Some times things will surprise you. Out of my Optima mz pistol, I'm shooting a 225 gr. 44 caliber Barnes XPB. Reloading data states they should be used in barrels with a twist rate of 1:20 or faster. My Optima pistol has a 1:28 twist rate but will stack them into about an inch or less at 50 yards with no signs of key holing. If you already have the bullets, send a few down range and see what they do.

I would just give some a try. My rifle has a 1-32' twist and does good with sabots with different weight bullets and 3 or 4 different weight conicals.
