Noticed a couple of weeks ago that my turnips had a few holes inthe leaves like some kind of bug was eating on them. Went back out today and there is nothing left but bulbs and stems on 75% of them. Any ideas what this would be? No hope for saving them this year, but would like to address it going forward.

Have seen discussions in past on bugs in brassica, but can't remember where...I believe that it was similar problem you have and the bugs wiped out radish leaves quick. You should be able to do some searches & find info. We haven't had problem yet.
I started putting 7 dust on mine and it has worked wonders. The deer eat them up after a frost and a few rains.
