What is the best way to keepem out of my food plot 20 minutes after i put seed out i had to run them out and then again 2hrs later.
 
I have never found a good way to keep turkeys out of foodplots.
Over the years we have just put in more food plots (20) than they could eat down before the plants got too big for them to just pull up. We mix clover seed in with our other plantings of oats, wheat, DER. The turkeys seem to prefer the young clover plants over the others and will concentrate on eating the clover and give the other young plants a chance to grow.

We also try to cultipack the same day we plant the plot to minimize seed loss to turkeys.

If you only have one plot you might try some sort of scarecrow or coyote decoy.

I knew a guy that put up a scarecrow with a bright orange jacket and it "may" have helped.
I am going to have to do something as I will be planting in about 2-3 weeks.
Drag your seed in and that will help or start them a corn feeder or buy a extra 50# of wheat and throw it out in a differnt location. Those turkey's seem to really like bare ground. If anybody has any idea's no matter what they are..please post to let us all know.

Are they going in after you have tilled it up or are you no-till planting? If you are working the ground, then that is why they are their, easy to scratch around in. You may want to apply some moth balls or some sort of deterrent on top of the ground after you plant to temporarily keep them out until emergence.
 
TS 13 gave is a good tip: I have one weekend to cut old farrow fields, disc plots, lime / fertilize then get the seed planted. It's funny, I won't see turkey until I start the tractor. Then the dang feathered rats follow me from field to field. Hey, maybe I'll use the "tractor-decoy" next spring. lol, I'm sure this would be illegal, but it would work better than my box calls.
 
Your absolute best bet and one that will help more than any is to CALL ME in the SPRING and I will help make sure they don't eat your seed!!!!! :D
