I have two groups of turkeys that feed daily behind my house. One group has a tom and a jake in it. The other group has no toms or jakes. The tom and jake just showed up Friday. I have been watching these turkeys for about two months and have noticed that one group there are two hens that are a good 4-5 inches taller than any of the other turkeys. I am no turkey expert but this seems kind of out of whack to me. They look funny beside the others. Is this normal? I don't know much about turkeys, but i'm curious.

If that is the case, they raised about 15 apiece.

These hens are bigger than the tom, He has a 9-10 in. beard.
Would that be the same senario?

Well if I'm not mistaken, a toms beard grows about 2-4 inches per year.

As far as your situation, maybe the hens are on hormones.....
