I took my turkey skull and bleached it for a mount.
But, the smaller internals parts have separated. They are still in excellent condition, just not connected anymore.
Does anyone have a good photo of the underside of a turkey skull? (Google has not been very helpful)

There is probably a good reason why Google hasn't been helpful :) !

A skull mount for a turkey would never have crossed my mind! Did you preserve the snood :D ?

I've seen some cool turkey skulls at one of the wingbone call vendors at the NWTF convention. He said they used beetles to clean them and then the whole skulls were coated in lacquer.

Your best bet is to go to the public library and search for anatomy references. Skull articulation is a relatively new art so reference is hard to find.

If you only did the skull and no vertebrae then there should only be a few bones that make up the lower jaw. Its a puzzle for sure so good luck and post a pic when your done.

Thank You!!
Looks like all my parts are there.
I simmered mine to get the bulk off then mascerated in water. Hydrogen peroxide and it is white as can be.
