Looking for a turkey hunting shotgun on the west side for a gift to a good buddy… not looking to break the bank.

For sure… I have one in 20 ga that's a killer. I'm not trying to spend Beretta at full retail money though.

I held one a couple of weeks ago… would rather pay more and get better quality.

Mine is not for sale but if you can find a Retay Gordion Turkey Model they are fantastic. Mine is a 20 gauge, patterns great and cycles flawlessly.

ok so not beretta prices, but better quality then that one? what is your budget your looking to spend then? Cheapest you are going to find for a decent semi auto is going to be $500 on average for a stoeger/CZ/Tristar or similar. From there it jumps to $750+ range for SX4 or retay

I mean you can find some Charles Dailys or Escort or some other off brand for less then $500 but the quality is going to be pretty meh on them. Even most of the mossbergs semi autos are in the $650+ range these days (which is crazy)

Pretty sure I can find a well used sx2 or sx3 for around $500… I've done it many times in the last couple of years. Same with Retays and Franchi. You never know what someone may have sitting in their safe that they never use and wouldn't mind selling. Hell, I got a helluva deal on my Beretta A300 lightly used that was hundreds less than you would think.

Also, would prefer semi but if close to me would be open to others.

I have a Franchi affinity 3" I would let go for $525

12 guage 28" barrel. Would have to pull it out to recall the camo pattern

Barrel is ported with turkey choke .690. 835 ulti-mag.

These are available in both 12 & 20 gauge. Stoeger made this specifically for turkey huntin. I got mine for $629 shipped free and no tax from Simmons sporting goods.
