Turkey numbers

I've seen more turkeys in last month than I've ever seen in west tn , anyone else?

Getting better in middle tn. Nothing like it used to be, will probably never be like that. But a lot better then it was even 3 years ago

I went and scouted saw 4-5 Tom's and a bunch of hens. After they moved off. I did some walking. Made a loop and on my way back walked up on 8-9 Jakes

Just the opposite here. Finally seen 3 birds yesterday. Used to be...30+ was very common.
Same with deer as well.

The son of an elderly couple who passed away moved into the house back behind us...maybe a mile away.
Rumor has it, he's killing everything he sees...deer, turkey, etc. Doesn't matter the limit, season, etc. Game warden is aware of it, but hasn't been able to catch him.

Seeing more now than the last couple of years. Seem to be on the rebound. Hope they continue to improve....almost blacked out when the neighbor told be he walked their farm shed hunting and jumped two different covey of quail!!! We always had quail growing up and I know its complicated but I really would love to see them bounce back...manage the habitat and make good choices for a healthy system...turkey, deer, quail and rabbits can all benefit from the same diverse habitat.
Sorry...got side tracked....glad to hear reports of turkey numbers improveing.

I'm seeing more around the house in Tipton County than I have in a long time. Of course I have nowhere to hunt here. My place in Henderson County has had a huge decline in the last 5 years. I'm not expecting to have a bird to hunt this year. We got almost no pics during deer season when we had cameras everywhere. I don't know what has happened to the turkey population there, but it's dwindled down to nothing.

I see a bunch of birds around the house in southern Rutherford county but no place to hunt them. Started hunting a new place in Humphreys county last deer season and saw turkeys basically every time I was there. Hopefully they're still there.

Seeing Jakes is a great sign! Improving here as well!

As hard as it might be to believe, it's better than the good'ol days for me. Years of habitat work and trapping has paid off but I never imagined having a flock like this to chase.

Just curious but where in Henderson County? My uncles place is in Henderson Co and is covered up in turkeys this year. Unlike the previous 5-10 yrs.

Between Lexington and Reagan. 3 miles north of highway 100 and 2 miles east of highway 22.
