Turkey and cicadas

Have a large cicada hatch at my place. Very loud. Does this affect the calling and gobbling of breeding birds. This video was from today. Didn't hear another sound except this

I seriously doubt it affects anything except your ability to hear

I don't think it affects gobbling, but I once killed one in Middle TN whose crop was stuffed FULL of still-wriggling cicadas. So I think it is an abundant, protein-rich food source when they hatch out.

I wouldn't think so but clouds out what you can hear.

Cant hear nothing but those loud mouth boogers today, did hear one bird a loooong ways off three or four times on the roost
