I'm trying something with my X-bow, if it works, I'll let you in on it.

Due to nerve damage, I'm having trouble holding the bow still even with a monopod-rest. I'm trying to adapt my crossbow to a camera tripod to help with the steadyness side to side. See, my body tends to rock because of the nerve damage to my back. I can flat drill holes from the tri-pod. Now I want to attach it to the bow so I can use it in stands and make it setady shooting free-hand.

I can tape it to my rifle and it works fine.

I've a similar problem. Old neck injure causes sometimes uncontrollable shivering in my right arm. Get it fixed in February next year. In the meantime I connect my crossbow to a light camera tripod. It works great and keeps the bow as steady as can be. I shoot an Excalibur crossbow. These bows come with a bipod attachment hole that fits the camera mount screw on the tripod perfectly.
