They stocked the harpeth river in Franklin this morning.

Fish went from 40 degree tank to 32 degree river water...

The cold water had them a bit shocked.

A lot were drifting around on their sides or swimming erratically. Some recovered better than others but none of them got an appetite before me and my buddy decided to quit. Seems like most of them will be ok but the water was a shock for them. We picked up several by hand and threw them back out but none were willing to bite.

We took off work one time several years ago to fish right when they stocked them. He the same experience you did. They wouldn't bite for anything

I caught a limit yesterday.

Cool pics I wondered which hatchery they used and where they let them out at

I would guess that they used the Flintville Hatchery, and they probably let them out at the Harpeth.

Those are just guesses, though. ;)

Haven't lived here long, but didn't know they stocked the harpeth. Is it only winter stocking I suppose.
