trout fishing

Braved the weather yesterday and went fishing with a friend. Fished Littleriver near Townsend. Six trout and one smallish smallmouth weighed just under 12 lbs. Nice fish.

We made some pics, he has them, will try to post when he sends them. I caught one that was very strange, when I first saw it, I thought it was a brown, but when I landed it I was not sure what it was. It looked like a cross between a brown and a rainbow. I have fished here all my life and never seen anything like it. It was very yellow-gold, dark speckled, hook-jawed, and had a bright orange stripe where a rainbow is pink. It was about 16" long. Must have been a hybrid of some sort.
