It's not considered bait, but it mine as well be. Deer come to it, and people hunt over it. It attracts deer just like a pile of corn attracts deer.

Yea, they seem to find it. I swithched my rock area this year from where I had it previous. About 150 yards away. Kept a trail came at old site, and put one at new sight. They followed the rock for sure !

In many areas, deer drastically reduce their salt intake as soon as the weather cools. Much less use of salt during hunting season.

thanks yall! thats cool guess ill have to go pick me up one. a friend told me that he just uses plain table salt and pours it out on the ground. anybody ever do that? just curious.
