Quick scan of the trophy walls. World records, state records and great bucks.
It is a really neat place to visit. Used to love taking the kids though the old one. Have only been to the new one once 6 or 7 years ago.
You need several hours to really take it all in.

If you are spending the night in Springfield the Anglers Lodge…Bass Pro operation…is across the street. Rooms are fairly priced.

A world record for 70 years before the Hanson buck came along. His mass and symmetry are the reasons he was the king.
I have been once and enjoyed walking through there. I wish I would have taken just that tour instead of the aquarium tour as well. I got bored in the aquarium within 10 mins and was ready for it to be over so don't feel like I enjoyed all the deer mounts as I should have.
I stopped at Cabela's some years back either in VA or WV and they had a huge trophy section and it was awesome as well.

Kansas City Cabela's has the best trophy room of all the Cabela's I've been to. Twenty or so years ago it was almost a hobby trying to go to as many as I could
I just looked it up and I was wrong on both states. The one I went to was in Hamburg, PA. It was impressive.
