I hate my foot control trolling motor and I plan on buying a new one with a tiller handle and putting a hot foot button or whatever you call it on it.

I don't have the money to buy the one I want just yet and mine took a dump today.
I want one mounted to the gator mount like the foot control but I want tiller handle.

I have a Bass Tracker V16 Guide boat.

Do you think a 30 pound thrust would turn it and move it around ok ?

Thinking about getting one (cheap) just to last till I get the one I want.

Figure it would be better than nothing but don't want to waste $100 either.

Get the 55lb thrust. I just swapped out my foot control aka the swimming instructor.

I think you can get a 40lb, 55lb, and higher thrust with the bow mount/tiller handle combo.

If you ever fish in wind or current, you will appreciate the extra thrust. My new 55lb tiller handle uses less juice than my older 55lb foot control.

Get a good/large battery. I got a killer deal on a large deep cycle battery at Sams.

Actually the one I want is like a 70 pound thrust 24 volt motor.
I can't afford it right now though.

Pretty much dead in the water as of now.

I got an anchor and a redneck powerpole for now though. :D

I need to post a picture of that one. LOL

Oh and I ain't forgot your question on the motor either, just didn't get the information before I left on vacation.
