I've been reading a lot on the Triumph Scrambler on sites like ADVrider.com. Anyone on here have one?

I question on how much dirt roads/firetrails are out there? Seems like all the roads in Sumner County are paved.

If you like Sportbikes they a awesome! The Scrambler is good for around town and small highways, I dont know if I would want to ride it on the interstate as they are not geared for it...no matter what the dealer tells ya! Now a Bonneville is geared better if you like the old look. If its JUST an around town bike, seriously old look you want look into Royal Enfields..they are fun little bikes to ride and look like they came out of the 40's.

I have a 1962 Royal Enfield 350 Bullet. It's fun to ride around the pasture or the state park when there's no traffic but the cable actuated front drum brake is pretty useless and I've always been uneasy riding it in traffic. Not sure if the newer ones have improved any on the brakes. Mine is a 6 volt electrical system and right foot shifter and left foot rear brake. The rear brake works fine but the front is pathetic.

Here's a trail that looks like fun... http://www.transamtrail.com/
